Subterranean Gallery Is Going Digital

digital_header

Subterranean Gallery is now seeking exhibition proposals for an ongoing series of digital exhibitions starting this fall/winter.

Our goal is to curate exhibitions by pairing local KC metro area artists working in or relation “the digital” with other local & national artists. We are specifically interested in artists who utilize some form of digital technologies in their practices to create meaningful conversations for an audience in the gallery and/or online.

Subterranean Gallery has always provided an intimate space for curating conversations. We want to take these discussions beyond the gallery walls and be a catalyst for artists who will benefit from expanding the digital presence of their practice and ideas.

By collaborating with our new digital exhibitions manager, Kevin Heckart, we can utilize a wide variety of av equipment and digital presentation tools. For the physical exhibition space at Subterranean Gallery, we have 1 vga projector, several 15″ monitors and a wall-mountable iPad for displaying work. Our digital exhibition space is limitless, allowing for digitally native works to be displayed seamlessly in a fully interactive version of our gallery space.
